Low Level Laser Treatment (LLLT)

The most common cause of hair loss is DHT. Testosterone is converted to Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by 5 Alpha Reductase (5AR) Enzyme.

DHT attaches to the androgen receptors on the hair follicle. DHT causes increased hair loss; gradually miniaturizing the hair follicle. This miniaturized hair follicle eventually dies and hair loss occurs.

Five distinct effects are known to occur from LLLT:

• An increase in ATP (Adenosine Triphoshate) and protein synthesis, causing an increase in osmotic cellular function.
• Improved cell proliferation (growth)
• Increase in protein synthesis, causing a change in cell membrane permeability.

Everyone is different! That is why each client’s individual needs are determined during our medical consultation.

Most people see hair loss slow or stop in the first few months and then some hair regrowth in the first 2-4-6 months. However, some people require between 6 months to 1 year to see results. Best result are generally seen in the first 12 to 24 months, therefore, we recommend 1 year programs for most people.

If you are not seeing the results you want at 3 or 6 months, we can easily adjust your program to include other treatments like higher strength Minoxidil and/or additional laser visits.
