Scalp Micropigmentation Procedure

Scalp micropigmentation is the process of reproducing the appearance of shaven hair, by introducing thousands of miniature pigment deposits into the epidermis of the scalp. The client then appears as if they have a full head or hair which is shaven very close to the scalp.
Scalp micropigmentation or SMP is typically utilized to conceal general balding and hairline recession, referred to as androgenetic alopecia. SMP can also help to conceal hair loss associated with alopecia areata, as well as concealing hair transplant scars and scars from trauma to the head.

Scalp Density Correction SMP Procedure

Is a great choice for ladies as this treatment helps to lessen the appearance of the scalp beneath thinning hair. While density correction is mainly performed on ladies, it is also a great option for men who are only thinning slightly. Through density correction we can create the illusion of fuller thicker looking hair by shading the scalp to look darker thus giving the illusion of fuller hair

Generally, for both SMP and Density Correction clients require one session, lasting about 6 – 8 hours to be considered complete. Another 4-hour session will then be scheduled 4 weeks later allowing the pigment to cure this schedule will make the treatment process less detectable. The pigment deposits will fade over the first 2 – 4 months, any touch-ups required within the first year are done free of charge.

Cost of Service SMP and Density Correction

Consultations are always complimentary and will go over all pre-treatment and post treatment instructions. Costs will vary depending on the client and area being treated, average service cost will vary between $2200 – $3000 plus GST for a full treatment. Touch-ups after one year can be purchased for $400 plus GST per session.
